Speaking positive personal confessions and scriptures out-loud, along with having an expectant attitude toward prosperity and positive living has also become a daily routine for me and it has had a tremendous effect on my life.
Speaking prosperity, for example:
"I always have more than enough!"
"My cup runneth over!"
"I'm a giver with plenty to give!"
"God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!"
"Everything I put my hands to prospers and succeeds!"
And declaring positive statements about your life, for example:
"This is my year for a breakthrough!"
"This is my year of increase!"
"This is my best year yet!"
"I am healthy and happy!"
"I love my life!"
Through my Bible studies, church and some of Joyce Meyer's books and teachings, along with others, I have learned about the importance that our words have in our lives, in our prosperity or poverty, and how I have a responsibility to speak in agreement with God's Word in order that I may live a positive, prosperous, and joyful life -the life He intended for me to live.
One scripture that has really touched my heart and changed the way I view prosperity says:
"Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."
Psalm 35:27 NKJV
This scripture means so much to me because for most of my life I had been taught that it was wrong to have money, or to even want to have it, you know that old saying:
Money is the root of all evil?
That is a lie from the enemy and a misquote, what is actually true is that the love of money is, according to this scripture:
"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs."
I Timothy 6:10
This is not saying that people who have money are evil, since you can't possibly be a financial blessing to others without it, however, it is a warning that you should not wander from your faith because you have it or trust in your money instead of trusting in God.
That's my take on it. That's what I've learned and it has truly changed my life.
