How Giving Impacts Success

Let’s discuss success first. What does success look like to you? Is it your job title, or the size of your house or bank account, or is it having the ability to be generous to others? If you believe that happiness and joy define success for you in your life, then giving plays a huge role in your success. If you believe that connection with other people and even love define success in your life, then giving plays a huge role in your success.  If your definition of success is primarily helping others less fortunate than yourself, no matter where you are on the financial scale, then giving plays a huge role in your success.   Why? You might ask. Simple:  Proverbs 11:25 says: A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. 2 Corinthians 9:6 says: “Remember this:  Whoever sows sparingly  will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously  will also reap generously.” NIV  As you ...

Oprah Winfrey Quote

Quote by Oprah found on Pinterest  Speaking positive personal confessions and scriptures out-loud, along with having an expectant attitude toward prosperity and positive living has also become a daily routine for me and it has had a tremendous effect on my life.  Speaking prosperity, for example:  "I always have more than enough!"   "My cup runneth over!" " I'm a giver with plenty to give!" " God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus!" " Everything I put my hands to prospers and succeeds!" And declaring positive statements about your life, for example:  "This is my year for a breakthrough!" " This is my year of increase!" "This is my best year yet!"   "I am healthy and happy!"  " I love my life!" Through my Bible studies, church and some of Joyce Meyer's books and teachings...

Serving Others Well

Image
When you follow the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", then serving others well becomes a natural, innate part of your life.  This is nothing new. We have all heard this phrase, and for some of us it was a moral lesson consistently taught to us by our loving parents.  To serve others well simply means to put yourself in their shoes and see their wants, needs, desires, goals, ambitions, and dreams as if they were your very own, and then to work hard doing everything you can to help meet those needs or to make those things a reality for them.  Are you in sales? Do you provide a specific service? Are you a blogger or writer? Whatever your job, business, or service is, simply ask yourself "what would I want or expect in this situation if the roles were reversed?"   Then, honestly answer that question and make the necessary adjustments, if any.  And i f the product, service or writing isn't something that you would...

Dreams & Visions for Your Future

Dreams & Visions for Your Future Do you dream of a future full of success, happiness and prosperity?  It all begins with a single thought.  Followed by a dream and shadowed by a vision.  And finally pursued physically by action.  You can create the future you desire to live, if only you will put your mind to it!  One of the most important lessons I have learned is this: I am where I am in life because of my own thoughts . It is not my upbringing, or life circumstances, or even the hand that I was dealt that had kept me from living an abundant, fulfilled, joyful life.  It was my wrong thinking. Once I began to earnestly seek God and His desire for my life, I began to discover that I did not believe that I was worthy of such a life. This hard truth made me examine even further my negative thoughts, actions, and situation in life.  After grasping the reality that God has a plan for my life:...
