to my Positive Living Blog!

I'm Tammy Jones. First and foremost, I am a daughter of the most high King! 

 I'm also a wife of a very loving and supportive husband, mother of seven 
wonderful children, and nana of ten beautiful grandchildren. 

 I'm an active volunteer working alongside my husband in our church 
helping to meet the basic needs of those in our church and the community during hard times through our monthly food pantry ministry. My husband volunteers to cook for the Men's ministry's monthly luncheons to raise additional money for outside missions and I help (when needed) by preparing and serving the meals. 

 I also volunteer with my 15 year-old daughter through her ministry,
 the 1ARK Project - the name stands for One Act of Random Kindness or, as my daughter likes to say, changing the world one act of random kindness at a time. The mission of this project is to give to those in need, to spread the joy and hopefully create a domino effect of kindness. 

 I am truly blessed to be a part of these wonderful projects 
and reaching out to help others in need! 

 As a recently converted Positive Living Enthusiast (yes, I made that name up!) 
I'm also here to help those who choose to #makethechange through Positive Living, despite the negative world we live in, through this blog with the guidance and direction of my Heavenly Father.

 Additionally, I'm a Gift Consultant with La Bella Baskets & Gifts. 
I became a Gift Consultant with this company not only to provide joy and smiles to people giving and receiving, but also because I was a single mother of five children for many years and I know first hand the struggles and hardships that they face everyday. Being a part of this company allows me the ability to encourage and pamper single moms through the La Bella Basket of Smiles Program as well as be a part of a mission I truly believe in which is:  

 To bring joy, love and beauty to others, to seek good in life,
to appreciate the sweetness of each day while inspiring everyone to believe that
anything is possible.

Puppy Love

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm an  animal lover, and they also know that my main  animal love is the  four-legged-pooch-type,  also known as  "Man's best friend." 🐶 My furry family has taught me a lot, but of all the things that I've learned from  them,  the most important two things have been forgiveness and gratitude.  Forgiveness Now I'm not implying that you can abuse a dog and they will easily forgive and  forget. What I am saying is that when you  have to  leave them alone for an  extended period of time (like on Sundays when  we have church and work the  monthly food pantry or the monthly missions' luncheon and end up  being away from them for hours), even though they've given you their best  sad-eyed-I-can't-believe-you're-leaving-me guilt trip as you're walking out the door, the moment you return all is forgiven and  they are...

Serving Others Well

When you follow the Golden Rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", then serving others well becomes a natural, innate part of your life.  This is nothing new. We have all heard this phrase, and for some of us it was a moral lesson consistently taught to us by our loving parents.  To serve others well simply means to put yourself in their shoes and see their wants, needs, desires, goals, ambitions, and dreams as if they were your very own, and then to work hard doing everything you can to help meet those needs or to make those things a reality for them.  Are you in sales? Do you provide a specific service? Are you a blogger or writer?
